The Faculty board had their first meeting this September, approving the new Gender Balance, Gender Equality and Diversity measure plan for 2021-2023, amongst other issues.

Read the plans here.

The action plan is closely tied to the gender balance project GenderAct. A primary measure in the action plan concerns the ongoing work GenderAct represents. The Faculty aims to make sure that GenderAct's measures are implemented at all departments. This involves new practices in recruitment processes, as well as looking closely at how career development is managed.

The University of Bergen is currently working on a primary action plan for equal rights and diversity, which will be ready this autumn. The Faculty has therefore included measures concerning diversity and equal rights in their action plan, pointing out that this is key in in the ongoing discussions and work at the departments of the Faculty.

The Faculty board wants the action plan to be a dynamic document. When UiB's primary action plan is approved, the Faculty's plan will be revised, and according to the priorities made in the local balance work.
