Abstract: Despite years of active research, the molecular mechanisms underlying neurodegenerative diseases are still poorly understood. This gap in mechanistic insights limits the nomination of potential therapeutic targets, leaving patients with few treatment options. Recent advances in single-cell technologies provide powerful tools to uncover cell–type–specific alterations and molecular pathways, offering novel perspectives on disease biology and opportunities for therapeutic discovery and disease stratification.
