UiB making its mark at UN Ocean Conference

Between 5 and 9 June 2017, the University of Bergen participated at the United Nations Ocean Conference in New York. Among the university's activities at the conference were the presentation of voluntary commitments with partner institutions in South Africa and the Pacific.

Between research and diplomacy

Professor Peter M. Haugan has long participated in high level work in the United Nations, building partnerships between science and diplomacy.

Bergen and Fiji expand partnership

The University of Bergen and the University of the South Pacific announced the establishment of a joint marine chair at a reception during the UN Ocean Conference.
