Covid E-Lit: Digital Art During the Pandemic
Join filmmakers Anna Nacher, Søren Pold, and Scott Rettberg for a screening of a new documentary focused on digital art and electronic literature made during the COVID-19 pandemic, reflective of the changes in everyday life that took place since the outbreak of the virus.
The documentary features interviews with authors and digital artists working with a variety of different media and forms, from interactive web diaries and online pandemic comics, to doomscrolling generators, sound art, and AR peformances on Zoom. The film offers unique documentation of a period during which virtually all cultural life moved to online platforms.
The presentation of the film will be followed by a Q and A with three of the researcher/filmmakers: Anna Nacher from Jagellionian University, Søren Pold from Aarhus University and Scott Rettberg from UiB. The three are working together on the DARIAH-funded research project "Covid E-Lit" which also includes an online exhibition of works, publications, and a database research collection.
