Ole Frithjof Norheim, leader of the research group, received the price at the Faculty day, June 14. Great academic results, a broad national and international network, solid interdiciplinary research and recruitement of new academics to the field were reasons given for the award.

When presenting the group to the audience, Ole Frithjof emphasized not only great academic results, but also the group's ability to create a supporting social environment from where one can grow as an academic. Quotes from previous PhD students were read to the audience, among them feedback from one of our international PhDs:

"The research group has been a sounding board where I can get reflections on my thoughts/my work through formal presentations but even through informal exchanges at the corridor and at the coffee machine….. The research group for me is a group of lovely people that I dare to call "family/friends away from home".
