Research group leader for LINGCLIM, professor Kjersti Fløttum, and Bjørn H. Samset, researcher at CICERO (centre for climate research), have been interviewed about the connection between climate and technology in an interview conducted by Tendens - Et magasin fra Samfunnsviterne.

Fløttum's and the LINGCLIM group's research shows that there is a large degree of technology optimism in the population.

Samset believes that "technology optimism is really a technology realism." In order to reach the climate targets, we must find ways to capture and store carbon dioxide, says Samset, but he still emphasizes that technology cannot solve everything.

The fact that we see more and more consequences of climate change will cause people to change their lifestyle, Samset believes. The LINGCLIM group's research results support this statement.
