This R&D project followed up the "Forsvaret's task force for international operations", a systematic follow-up over 6 months of Norbn II / KFOR was carried out before, during and after the service in Kosovo with the aim of mapping mental readiness and functional capacity for Norwegian participation in international operations. In the Norwegian context, such large-scale prospective studies have not previously been carried out and the project therefore provides new knowledge about important aspects of the implementation of international operations. The project was planned and carried out as part of the R&D program "Military Psychology and Leadership" at the Naval Academy and the University of Bergen with support from the Ministry of Defense / the High Command of the Armed Forces. Project manager, Professor Jon Christian Laberg participated during the contingent's deployment period in Kosovo and was responsible for cooperation with the department and data collection among commanders and crews.
