Decision making in operative police training scenarios

Various master thesis projects have examined which mechanisms influence performance in operative police work. These field experiments manipulate the working conditions (e.g., different instructions, stressors or types of tasks) has on the performance or experiences of police academy cadets that perform a training task in the field or in a simulator. Individual differences have also been examined (personality traits, hardiness, coping syles, expertise). These studies have been done in collaboration with the Norwegian police academy in Stavern.
