Blood flow in aortal and the coronaries

Main content

Blood flow in the coronary arteries seems to be related to the blood flow in the aorta and independent on flow mediated dilatation in peripheral arteries in children and adolescents with  congential heart defects. This is studied by cMRI in patients with tetralogy of Fallot and coarctation of the aorta. The work is in collaboration with the Department of Heart Disease at Haukland University Hospital.
