Potentially traumatising life experiences and the use of health care services

Main content

In this research project we will examine the link between potentially traumatising experiences (PTE) and use of health care services in a non- clinical child and adolescent population sample. The main aim is to explore to what extent children and adolescents who have been exposed to PTE have been in contact with health care servises and which factors influence the use of health care in terms of demographics, type of PTE and symptomatology. The project is based on the existing epidemiological dataset from The Bergen child study and data from the National patient registry.
