EATLP-conference 2025

The Faculty of Law at the University of Bergen, in collaboration with the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH), is proud to host the 2025 EATLP Congress in Bergen from 19 to 21 June.

Main content

The congress is a key meeting place for professors and academic researchers in tax law, attracting a significant number of tax law professors from across Europe – along with some participants from other parts of the world.

The theme for 2025 is “Taxing Real Estate (Ownership)”, addressing legal, comparative, and policy dimensions of real estate taxation. The programme opens Thursday with registration and the General Assembly at the Faculty of Law, followed by a welcome reception and keynote lecture in the historic King Haakon’s Hall. Academic sessions will take place Friday in the University Aula, concluding with a dinner at the top of Mount Fløyen. The final sessions on Saturday will return to the Faculty.

Professor Michal Radvan (Masaryk University) will serve as General Reporter and lead the academic discussions together with an international working group of experienced tax scholars. National reports from participating countries will form the basis for comparative analysis and structured discussions.

While the EATLP congress is primarily a conference for professors, it also welcomes associate professors, PhD candidates and other researchers in tax law. We encourage scholars from Norway and the wider Nordic region to attend – both for academic inspiration and to strengthen networks in the international tax law community.
