Student Mobility
The Student Mobility function area is responsible for processing applications from students travelling to and from the university under general bilateral agreements, the Nordlys network and Erasmus agreements. In addition, the function area is responsible for administering international programmes and contracts, and for ancillary services for students abroad.
Main content
The International Section administers the various internationalization programmes for higher education and in this conjunction provides advisory services for academic environments and other entities at UiB. The section also administers UiB’s portfolio of central, bilateral student exchange agreements, and is responsible for student mobility under the provisions of these agreements.

Emergency preparedness
Together with the academic environments, the function area is responsible for UiB’s ancillary services plan to ensure that students studying abroad are followed up. The plan applies to UiB students who are in foreign countries and is designed to make their visit abroad more secure for them. It shall reduce the risk of serious or unfortunate events occurring, and it shall provide the best possible assistance to UiB students abroad who need help.
