UiB top in Norway

UiB’s overarching objective is to be an internationally acclaimed research university, and being ranked among the top 200 universities in the world is an important milestone.

The highly respected British magazine Times Higher Education’s ranking list shows that UiB is ranked as 6th in the Nordic countries and 43rd in Europe, ahead of prestigious Nordic universities such as Copenhagen and Uppsala. UiB’s strong position has been achieved largely through citations in publications and the quality of its research.
