The Working Environment Committee

The Working Environment Committee consists of representatives of the employer, the employees and the occupational health service and shall work to ensure that the working environment at the university is fully satisfactory.

Main content

The committee shall participate in the planning of the health, safety and environmental work at the university and closely monitor developments in the working environment.

The Working Environment Committee has statutory responsibilities, which are described in The Working Environment Act (Chapter 7).

Composition
The Working Environment Committee has ten permanent members who have the right to speak, the right to submit proposals and the right to vote. The employer and the employees have an equal number of representatives and take turns in chairing the committee.

The Working Environment Committee has two permanent members from the Occupational Health Service, who have the right to speak and the right to submit proposals, as well as a permanent observer from the students and The Ombud for students.
