The systematic work for preventing drugs and gambling addiction is an important part of the HSE work at UIB. Leaders should aim for early intervention, and employees should be enabled to address issues concerning drugs and gambling conflicting with the work environment.

Drug policy at UiB

The drug and addiction prevention work at UiB is to be integrated into the systematic HSE work. UiBs drug policy describes the University of Bergen's stance on the use of alcohol, illegal drugs and gambling addiction.

How to prevent alcohol and gambling addiction:

Both managers and employees are responsible for contributing to a drug-free and good working environment. Through competence and systematic HSE work, drug and gambling addiction can be prevented in the organization.
