Main content

The collaboration between UiB and Makerere University goes back 30 years, ever since Professor Endre Lillethun and his wife Karen first visited Kampala in 1988. A dozen ongoing projects is evidence that the collaboration lives on.

New and old friends of the Makerere collaboration are welcome to celebrate at Christie café on 6 December, 2019!

Pro-Rector Margareth Hagen, who attended the celebration at Makerere on November 7, will open. We will show the new film about the collaboration and there will be brief introductions of ongoing collaborative projects. There will be room to share old stories about the 30 years and the opportunity to say something, to those who want.

The seminar will be led by Thorkild Tylleskär, professor at the Centre for International Health and academic coordinator for the collaboration with Makerere.

Breakfast will be served from 08:00 and the program starts at 08.30.
