The IMEX project has investigated how people in local communities imagined and experienced the refugee crisis and receiving an asylum center in their local community, and what it was like for the refugees who came during the crisis. The research also included using the Norwegian Citizen Panel to investigate peoples attitudes before and after both the establishment and closing of asylum centres, and how these attitudes changed.
