Edit video and audio

There are several tools for editing video and audio. Here you find some recommendations.

Main content

Edit video

The Microsoft 365 suite includes access to the simple video editing application Clipchamp.

If you would like to edit videos on your mobile phone, Adobe Premiere for iPhone is available with a free version. Unfortunately, this application is not currently available for Android.

Through UiB's IT Department, you can also order Adobe Premiere Pro, which is part of Adobe's Creative Cloud suite. This also gives you the option to subscribe to UiB's graphic templates. Premiere Pro is a subscription-based product that requires either annual or monthly payment.

If you are looking for another advanced and free video editing application, a free version of Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve is available. It is considerably more demanding to learn than Clipchamp, but it also offers significantly more capabilities. DaVinci Resolve is also available in a paid Studio version with additional features for professional use.

Edit audio

UiB does not have its own software for editing audio, but there are several free versions available, for example, Audacity, which is available for all platforms and has open-source code. The program can be used for editing imported sound files, and for recording sound, both from connected microphones/instruments and from your own machine.
