Climate measures not stringent enough
Having mapped the ocean’s absorption of CO2 for five years, the researchers working on the CarboOcean project have concluded that emission limits are not stringent enough.

The limits that are currently in place will not prevent the average global temperature from rising by more than two degrees.
CarboOcean is an international EU project coordinated by Professor Christoph Heinze of the Geophysical Institute and the Bjerknes Centre. The project started in 2005.
On 28 November, the television channel NRK2 showed a 50-minute documentary made by Univisjon about CarboOcean. A shorter version was shown on the same channel in connection with the climate conference in Copenhagen.
