Sunny start to the semester

The start of the academic year is an important occasion for students old and new, and for the university’s staff. The welcoming ceremony took place in Muséplass, in the heart of the University of Bergen’s most traditional area, with the grand museum building forming a suitably venerable backdrop.

The university was awarded the 2010 Målprisen, and was praised by the Norwegian Language Society for its outstanding use of Nynorsk.
