Deadline for nomination to Holberg International Memorial Prize 2013 and Nils Klim Prize 2013

The Ludvig Holberg Memorial Fund invites nominations for the Holberg International Memorial Prize 2013  and Nils Klim Prize 2013.

Holberg International Memorial Prize is awarded to scholars who have made outstanding contributions to research in the arts and humanities, social science, law or theology, either within these fields or through interdisciplinary work. The prizewinner must have had a decisive influence on international research. The prize for 2013 is NOK 4.5 million (approximately EUR 600 000/USD 790 000).

The Nils Klim Prize is awarded to young Nordic researchers who have made an outstanding contribution to research in the arts and humanities, social science, law or theology. The prize for 2013 is NOK 250.000 (approximately EUR 33,000/USD 44,000), and was established by the Norwegian Government in 2003. Candidates must be under the age of 35 on 15 September 2012.

Who can nominate?
Scholars holding a position at universities and other research institutions within the above mentioned academic fields are entitled to nominate candidates for the prizes.
