Different aspects and paradigms of European asylum policy were presented when the University of Bergen held a one-day migration conference in Brussels.
The common asylum procedure suggested within the framework of the Common European Asylum System (CEAS) lays the foundation for the conference in Brussels, where Hakan G. Sicakkan from the Department of Comparative Politics is the academic convener.
Associate Professor at the Department of Comparative Politics, Georg Picot, has initiated a line of seminars on themes related to political economy. The seminars will provide a meeting arena for researchers and others that are interested from different academic communities.
On the occasion of the visit of the Norwegian Education and Research Delegation, led by Minister Iselin Nybø, a seminar was organized by the University of Bergen, Fudan University/Nordic Centre , and SNoW. The seminar attracted an audience of about 80 Chinese and Norwegian scholars and students.
