1. The proposal must be in writing
2. The proposal must be signed by at least the same number of proposers as the number of candidates the proposal contains
3. The proposer(s) must be entitled to vote in the election
4. No one can sign more than one proposal
5. All proposed candidates must be eligible
6. If any candidate is entitled to exemption from election, a written consent from the candidate must be attached to the proposal
7. The proposal must be submitted no later than 12 noon on 19^th March

IMPORTANT:
Those who run for election must have a research activity that is compatible with the duty to attend the faculty board meetings.

Please be advised all the documents and discussions in the Faculty Board meetings are in Norwegian and a proficient level of the language is thus required.

Excluded from election to the faculty board are:
faculty director and their deputy
head of section in the faculty administration
head of department and their deputy

Excluded from election to the institute board are:
Head of Administration

Group A - Three members and at least two deputies from and among Group A (academic staff)
Group B - One member and at least two deputies from and among Group B (temporary academic staff)
Group C - One member and at least two deputies from and among Group C (technical and administrative staff)
Group D - Two members and at least two deputies from and among Group D (students)

The right to nominate and vote is granted to those who, at the start of the election:

• Are permanently employed in at least a half-time position, or
• Are employed or engaged for at least one year in at least a half-time position, or
• Have been continuously employed or engaged for at least one year in at least a half-time position.
