ILLU Science and Art are hosting Ilulissat Science Forum as a side event ahead of Greenland Science Week 

Monday 3rd of November (public)

16:00 - 18:00 Opening of Art exhibit at ILLU with Aima Mathiassen (12 year old artist from Ilulissat)

Tuesday 4th - Wednesday 5th of November

16:00-18:00 ILLU social: waffelmik and art exhibit

Thursday 6th of November:

17:00 - 19:00 Workshop for local tour operators (please email illu@uib.no to sign up)

    Monday 3rd - 9th of November: Art Exhibit and Workshops

    Community events with art exhibits and workshops in collaboration with local community and organizations in Ilulissat. Marking the culmination of ongoing workshops revolving around the themes: climate, maps, and nature. The week 3-6th of November, workshops will take place in Illu, including an exhibition curated with artworks by Aima Mathiassen (12 years old artist from Ilulissat) as a backdrop for the Science Forum.

    The art exhibit at Illu will be open after the Science Forum with times announced on the Illu Facebook page, or by appointment (please contact us at illu@uib.no).

    Practical Information:

    Registration: Please fill out the form online here (and see here for payment options)

    Please also contact us a illu@uib.no if you are a PhD or early career scientist from Greenland or Nunavut and would like to apply for a stipend.

    Venue: Illu – Science and Art, Ilumiut 18, Ilulissat 

    Arrival Thursday 6th of November is encouraged.

    Accommodation and travel will have to be arranged individually. Hotels in Ilulissat include Hotel SØMA, Hotel Ilulissat, Hotel Icefiord, Hotel Hvide Falk and Hotel Nuka. There are other alternatives, such as Ilulissat Guesthouse. Mention Ilulissat Science Forum to receive a generous discount at Hotel Icefjord og Hotel Hvide Falk.
