Opening of the exhibition Looking Beyond
In collaboration with the Italian Embassy in Oslo, the University of Bergen is hosting the exhibition Looking Beyond, a visual exploration of global environmental processes based on satellite observations.

The University of Bergen, in collaboration with the Italian Embassy in Oslo, invites students and staff to the opening of the exhibition Looking Beyond — a visually powerful and thought-provoking photographic exhibition based on satellite data from the Italian COSMO-SkyMed constellation.
The exhibition presents 25 large-scale satellite images offering a unique perspective on global processes related to, among other themes, climate change, natural disasters, water, deforestation, agriculture and urban development. The images demonstrate how advanced space technology can contribute to a deeper understanding of complex natural and environmental phenomena, and create a natural meeting point between science, technology and visual communication.
The opening will take place on 18 February at 15:00, with the participation of Italian Ambassador Stefano Nicoletti, Vice-Rector Sigrunn Eliassen and Dean Gunn Mangerud.
