Passion for Science is an event celebrating progress in research in the areas of astrophysics, nanoscience and neuroscience. The University of Bergen collaborates with The Kavli Prize and the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters to make this event happen in Bergen.

At the Kavli Symposium Passion for Science in the University Aula, university and high school students and other interested parties will meet three of the 2018 Kavli Prize winners. The event highlights the award winners' research and how they made their way into science.

The event also includes the opening of a new exhibition at the University Museum that addresses the themes of the Kavli Prize: "On the smallest, the biggest and the most complicated" - learn about the University of Bergen's research in nanoscience, astrophysics, and neuroscience.

The University of Bergen has also organized parallel academic symposia for astrophysics, nanoscience and neuroscience, with several Kavli Prize winners and invited guests from Norway and abroad in attendance.
