Leila Neimane conducts project related to the law and wind farms in the Baltic Sea and North Sea (Cross-border maritime spatial planning and transnational partnerships of hybrid offshore wind energy projects in the Baltic Sea and North Sea (CROSS-HOWE-BANO)) at the Faculty of Law, University of Bergen. The project is implemented in the framework of the SEAS programme that has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement No 101034309.

Leila Neimane holds a Ph.D. from the University of Latvia, Faculty of Law. She has participated in several local and international projects as a researcher at the University of Latvia, University of Basel (Switzerland) the University of Pretoria (South Africa) and currently – at the University of Bergen. Her principal academic interests are maritime spatial planning, blue growth, and regional development, as well as environmental rights, environmental democracy, environmental justice and environmental impact assessments.
