The Proteomics and Bioinformatics Research Group does advanced quantitative proteomics research focusing on clinical samples. It is closely connected with the Proteomics Unit at the University of Bergen (PROBE), a national core facility for large scale protein analysis using mass spectrometry and a member of the National Network of Advanced Proteomics Infrastructure.

A wide range of skills within the field of proteomics is covered by the group members, from wet lab experimental setups to bioinformatics data analysis. Examples of patient sample types are multiple sclerosis and leukemia.
