Research school student in biomaterials
Long Giang Nguyen investigates properties of nylon-based materials
Long Giang Nguyen is a student in dentistry who is the first dental student to attend the research school at the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry. The topic is nylon (polyamide) materials for prostheses, addressing physical/chemical properties as well as biologic responses in vitro. The main supervisor is Associate Professor Marit Øilo.
He has been at a research stay at NIOM where he studied substances released from polyamide materials, analyzed by gas chromatography (GC).
