PhD Research Fellow Seminar at Solstrand Hotel
On the 26th and 27th October, the Facutly of Psychology held the Annual PhD Research Fellow Seminar at Solstrand Hotel.
Main content
This seminar is one of the compulsory activities the PhD candidates must take during their PhD programmes. The topic for this year was: “Educational quality in higher education, 3. cycle. The PhD: how to enhance the educational aspects of the degree?”
The experiences of Associate Professor Line Hilt stimulated rich discussions and reflections among PhD candidates and supervisors. Professor Sally Barnes and Dr. Kate Whittington, from the University of Bristol, shared their knowledge in management of PhD projects. It was a space to share experiences and reflect on different approaches to higher education.
All PhD candidates were invited to present their PhD projects in the different groups that were assigned. This was an unique opportunity for them to get some feedback from supervisors as well as from other PhD candidates. Their questions and comments prompted new insights, perspectives and invited the candidates to clarify and reflect on their projects.
