Welcome to the ‘Child welfare, equality and social inclusion’ research group

"Child welfare, equality and social inclusion" is a multidisciplinary research group that was established in 2013. The group is mainly composed by members from the Department of Health Promotion and Development at the Faculty of Psychology, University of Bergen. It also collaborates with researchers from other departments at the University of Bergen and other institutions.

The research group has developed competence in research related to the following main areas:

- Child Welfare and Child Protection

- Health and Welfare Services

- LGBT related topics

- Migration and ethnic minorities

- Service users and providers' perspectives

Seminar on Motherhood and Mothering by Raquel Herrero-Arias

Participation in the Third General Meeting of RoMoMatter Project

RoMoMatteR is a transnational project that tackles gender discrimination by empowering Roma girls. In December 2019, the project held its third general meeting with the special participation of Associate Professor Gaby Ortiz-Barreda and PhD Raquel Herrero-Arias.
