Main content

Professor Kjersti Fløttum was interviewed by the podcast Science4Impact by Skift about how willing we are to live climate-friendly lives.

The podcast addresses questions such as "how willing are we to change our everyday lives in the face of climate change?" and "what are the population's attitudes to how the climate challenges should be solved, and what emotions does the climate issue bring out in people?"

- We see that climate change is perceived as very complex, and there is a diversity of voices and viewpoints in the climate debate. With different interests, values and feelings, it can be difficult for decision-makers to find consensus, but equally fruitful to find disagreements, says professor Kjersti Fløttum.

Participants in the Podcast episode are Anne Husebekk Anne Husebekk, professor and former rector at the University of Tromsø and Bjørn Kjærand Haugland, director at Shift with guest professor Kjersti Fløttum. The participants discuss language use and attitudes in the discourse on climate change, energy transition and lifestyle.
