Elham Baghestan

Elham Baghestan is specialist in gynecology and obstetrics, working 50 % as consultant at Haukeland university hospital and 50 % as associated professor at the University of Bergen at the department of Clinical Medicine (K2). She defended her PhD-degree  “Epidemiological aspects of obstetric anal sphincter injuries in Norway” in 2012. Inspired by her expertise in obstetrics, she works with research projects focusing on pelvic floor injuries in women, epidemiology and pregnancy complications, co-supervising PhD students and with the Nordic research group (NOSS) looking at rare pregnancy complications. She teaches medical students and is heads the 9^th semester board at the University of Bergen.
