SEAS & LEAD AI Open days

Open Days: November 18–20, 2025

Location: Nygårdsgaten 5, University of Bergen

We are pleased to invite you to the Open Days from November 18–20 for two of UiB’s strategic postdoctoral development programmes:

• SEAS – Shaping European Research Leaders for Marine Sustainability
• LEAD AI – Bergen research and training program for future AI leaders across the disciplines

These are mobility and career development programmes for postdoctoral researchers in marine sciences and artificial intelligence. They are co-funded by Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions under the EU’s research framework programme. The programmes include 37 (SEAS) and 19 (LEAD AI) postdoctoral researchers affiliated with various research environments at UiB. Many have external mentors, collaborators, or are engaged in short- or long-term placements in organisations outside academia.

We aim to showcase the research and the postdoctoral fellows, and hope you will join one or more of the open sessions – whether to learn more about the research and programmes, or to connect with potential collaborators or future colleagues.

Programme

Poster Sessions:

Tuesday 18th, Wednesday 19th, and Thursday 20th November - Time: 12:00–13:00

Postdoctoral researchers will be present at their posters and available for conversations and questions. Light lunch will be served.

Talks and Presentations: Wednesday 19th November - Time: 16:00 – approx. 18:00

Open afternoon with mingling, light refreshments, and oral presentations. The format includes short presentations (6 minutes each) by postdoctoral researchers from both programmes. Refreshments will be available from 16:00, and talks begin at 16:30 in Storsalen. For more information about speakers and topics, follow updates on the website.
