The Department of Comparative Politics offers bachelor degree and master degree in comparative politics, and a bachelor's degree in Europe studies. In addition we have many courses open for exchange students and other students, some are in english. You can read more about our courses under "Education".
Chinese Politics in a Globalized World
Our collaborative semester program in Shanghai (Fudan University) is taking a break in 2014. Several of our key contributors will be occupied with other work this coming year, and we will utilize this time to strengthen our capacities and further develop the program for spring 2015. What is comparative politics?
Comparative politics is the systematic study of political institutions, organisations, processes and behaviour at the local, national and international level. Comparisons across political systems and over time are central to the subject. The main focus of the research is democracy and democratisation in a wide sense, thematically and geographically.

A delegation from the Department of Comparative Politics visited Shanghai in April. The program consisted of a workshop at Fudan University and signing a new agreement with East China Normal University.
