The Women's Network was visited by Prof. Karen Helene Ulltveit-Moe, Head of Department at the Department of Economics at the University of Oslo. Professor Ulltveit-Moe spoke to the network about working in male dominated disciplines and workplaces, and reflected on her experiences of partaking in controversial public debates as an academic. The network found the discussions very inspiring!

About the Women's network at Sampol

The Women's network was established 2022 in order to work for a supportive environment for women at the Department. This is done through promoting gender equality at the Department, enhancing women's academic skills, and through initiatives to build stronger bonds among women at Sampol. The network also works to inform staff and others about potential barriers for women in academia and to raise awareness about impediments to gender equality in our sector.
