Main content

World-leading research environments for climate and energy change. International standard for work with challenges in health, environment, democracy, equality and a just development of society, and a marine tradition that dates back to the 19th century and marine research that was done at Bergen Museum. The University of Bergen plays a crucial role in the work of meeting our common future challenges, both by helping us in understanding the past and in finding new solutions for the future.

In order to succeed in these areas, close cooperation with society and business is of crucial importance. Collaboration can relate to research projects, support for individual researchers, individual projects, specific academic environments or the university in general.
