Title: Chemotherapy-induced immunological dormancy in breast cancer

Abstract:

Breast cancer is the most frequent cancer among women worldwide. Early detection and adjuvant treatments have contributed to significantly decreased breast cancer-related mortality over the past three decades. However, therapy for advanced disease has not progressed significantly and metastatic breast cancer remains incurable. There is therefore an urgent need to conceive new adjuvant approaches to prevent metastatic disease and to develop more effective treatments against established metastases. Here, I will present and discuss published and unpublished results from our laboratory addressing these needs.

Chairperson: Oddbjørn Straume

All interested researchers, students and others are welcome, both to the seminar and the following pizza get-together!
