Invitation:

It is a great pleasure for the Centre for Cancer Biomarkers CCBIO to invite you to the 1^st European Ovarian Cancer Research Symposium (OC-INSIGHTS), at Solstrand outside of Bergen, Norway, May 10-11, 2026.

This year's title: Improving ovarian cancer outcomes: harnessing tumor-host interactions

The 1^st OC-INSIGHTS will be a combination of talks by invited international academic and other senior researchers, shorter presentations by PhD students and postdocs, extended poster sessions where younger researchers can present their work, and ample time for informal interaction between participants.

Confirmed speakers include Usha Menon, Ronny Drapkin, Charlie Gourley, Susanna Banerjee, Olivia Le Saux, Sampsa Hautaniemi, Frances Balkwill, Krister Wennerberg, Denarda Dangaj, Anniina Färkkilä, Hanna Dahlstand, and Frederik Marmé.

Sessions will include: Early detection/tumor initiation, Ethnic and histological diversity, Biomarkers and precision oncology, Preclinical modelling, Immunology and spatial biology, and Emerging cell types and targets.

The 1^st OC-INSIGHTS is part of our increasing focus on innovation and academic-industry interactions. Also, we allow industry participants to take part in our extended poster sessions with similarly sized stands among the academic exhibitors.

Abstract submission

The abstract submission is now open. Please submit your abstract using this link. The submission deadline is March 9, 2026, at 23:59 CET. Please indicate your preferred presentation format further down in the submission form. As the number of oral presentation slots is limited, the symposium committee will evaluate all submitted oral presentation abstracts for inclusion into the main program and rank them based on scientific quality, novelty, and relevance to the session themes. If an accepted abstract is not assigned an oral presentation slot, the presenting author is encouraged to hold their presentation as a poster instead. Preferable poster format: Portrait A0 (H120 cm x W85 cm).

Presenters will be notified no later than April 1st, 2026, regarding acceptance.

Registration

The registration is now open. Please submit your registration using this link. The registration deadline is April 25, 2026, at 23:59 CET.

The conference will take place at Solstrand Hotel & Bad, which will also serve as the conference hotel. It is located in Os, Norway, about a 20-minute drive from Bergen.

To facilitate efficient communication and ensure that we can accommodate your needs and provide you with a positive and well-organized conference experience, we kindly ask you to complete all fields in the registration form.
A conference package includes two meeting days with lunch, one dinner, one breakfast, and one overnight stay at Solstrand Hotel & Bad in a standard room.
If you are not staying at the hotel, you may instead register for day packages including lunch for one or two days, as well as attendance at the conference dinner.

Prices

Participants staying at the hotel (per day):

One conference participant in a standard room, including one dinner, one breakfast, and two meeting days with lunch: NOK 4,000 (350 Euro)
Additional conference participant in the same room (double-room supplement), including one dinner, one breakfast, and two meeting days with lunch: NOK 3,000 (265 Euro)

Additional overnight stay (May 11–12): 4,800 NOK (420 EUR)
