CoDiSEA (Collaborative Digital Storytelling for Educational Advantage) is an 18-month project funded by the UiB Humanities Strategy Fund to explore the role of storytelling in teaching, learning and collaboration at universities and schools and in scientific public engagement, using the digital platform Instorier. In our first year, the tool has been used by teachers in Social Sciences, Humanities and Public Health at UiB, by masters with education students in Bergen schools, and by collaborators in Media and Communications Studies, Criminology and Sociology in Bergamo (Italy), Kingston (U.K.), and Vilnius (Lithuania).

In our presentation we’ll outline some of the features of Instorier, show some of the stories participants’ have made, reflect on the kind of learning, communication and collaboration that the tool enables, and outline our plans for the final 6 months - including inviting you to collaborate!

Project participants can use Instorier for free (for the lifetime of the product).
