China is home to the world’s largest population, largest political party and second largest economy. We hear a lot about President Xi Jinping and a few other powerful men. But what about the women in China’s political, economic and social affairs?

Is their role changing and how does China compare to other countries? In this seminar we meet visiting Chinese Professor Guo Xiajuan (Zhejiang University) in conversation with Hans Jørgen Gåsemyr (Department of Comparative Politics, UiB) - with inputs from other visiting and local scholars.
