We are currently living in a time of rapid climate change and increasing energy demands, and now more than ever we need to transition to sustainable energy sources.

This event will explore SDG 7, Clean and Affordable Energy.

Guest panelists, including UiB lecturers, researchers, and local companies will introduce their area of expertise and discuss sustainable energy transitions, energy resources and affordability.

This event will include perspectives and case studies from a range of countries.

Speakers and their respective topics: 

  1. Kristin  Guldbrandsen Frøysa: Energy Resources in a Global Perspective 
  2. Astrid Nybø: Bergen Offshore Wind Centre
  3. Vadim Vinichenko: Phasing out of fossil fuels (focus on Eastern Europe)
  4. Thor Jensen: Energy transition in South Africa 

 

In the second half of the event attendees will have the opportunity to ask the panelists questions in an exciting debate!
