This is an open seminar and panel discussion and part of Arctic Frontiers in Tromsø aimed at strengthening knowledge about Kalaallit Nunaat (Greenland) and Arctic politics.
We will discuss, among other things:
- Greenland’s colonial history
- Political and cultural perspectives in a time of increasing geostrategic interest in the Arctic
- Science diplomacy and the role of academia in strengthening relationships
The session will be in english and is moderated by Ole Rasmus Øvretveit (UiB) and is open to anyone interested in Greenland, politics, history, and research. We hope to accomodate questions from the audience (these can also be in Norwegian).
