Mentor week at the Faculty of Social Sciences
Participation in the Mentor Week is voluntary. It is a great way to meet both your fellow new students and get to know the more experienced students at the faculty.

Tuesday 11 August
Meeting point: Outside the Fløibanen funicular in Bergen city centre, Vetrlidsallmenningen 23A.
All new students are welcome to join a hike to Mount Fløyen. This is a great opportunity to get to know the hiking options in Bergen and meet other students. Remember to wear good shoes and dress according to the weather. For people with a disability that makes it challenging to walk up, it will be possible to take the funicular to the top. The ticket cost will be covered by UiB.

Diskuterbar is the student bar and café for the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Bergen.

21.00-00.00 Full house event at Det Akademiske Kvarter
Det Akademiske Kvarter is the students’ culture centre in Bergen! Here we will host "Helhus" (literally: whole house), meaning there will be various events in different rooms. You can move freely from room to room where you will find Silent Disco, karaoke, stand-up, and concerts.

How about a quiet night under the stars? Together with Bergen International Film Festival we invite you to outdoor cinema. Wrap yourself up in a warm blanket, bring your favourite movie snack and enjoy the film!
