To meet the requirements of the Norwegian Regulation on the Use of Animals in Research § 24, which mandates that all personnel maintain and document their competence through continuous practice and training, we offer this refresher course in laboratory animal science.
The course consists of a self‑study component followed by a seminar, where participants receive professional updates and the opportunity to discuss key topics such as legislation and ethics, health and safety, the researcher’s responsibilities, pain recognition, and severity classification. There will also be time for questions and answers, as well as a quiz.
The seminar concludes with an MCQ exam, and active participation along with passing the test forms the basis for evaluation.
