A Visit from the Minister of the Environment
August 1st, 2013 the Norwegian Minister of the Environment, Bård Vegard Solhjell, paid a visit to UiB to hear more about the Norwegian volcanoes that lie beneath the sea surface.

During the Minister's visit to UiB, Professor and CGB Director Rolf Birger Pedersen showed the Minister pictures and movies from Loki's Castle, which is part of a unique piece of Norwegian volcanic landscape that stretches over 1500 km from Jan Mayen to the Fram Strait between Svalbard and Greenland.
