The application deadline for applicants from EU/EEA/Switzerland is 1 March. We welcome interested students to join our online information meetings 3 February. Department of Geography offers 3 master's programmes taught in English:

Physical and Environmental Geography

Climate change, geohazards, and the nature crisis are key challenges for society. You study how external processes shape the landscape, the interaction between natural processes and human impact, and what this means for settlement, land use, and the environment – focused on Norway.

Human Geography and Sustainable Development

Our planet, cities, and local communities face environmental, social, and economic challenges. This programme gives you the competence to engage with global and local sustainability issues from a human geography perspective – emphasising relations between human behaviour, nature, and society.

System Dynamics

In our complex world, facing numerous sustainability, resilience and security challenges, appropriate theories, methods and tools are essential. System dynamics explores the dynamics of complex systems, enabling us to understand change, and identify leverage points for solutions.
