About HR
The HR department assists and advises the university's managers and employees in personnel and organizational issues.
Main content
The department is responsible for the development and implementation of UiB's personnel policy and works systematically to develop a good framework for recruitment work, offer appropriate competence development for employees and strengthen leadership development throughout the organization, provide management support in the personnel field, secure and develop the working environment.
The HR department is organized into sections:
- Employer policy and strategy
- HR Shared Services
- Working environment and organisational development
- Documentatin and system management
- The Occupational Health Service (BHT)
Service agreements
HR delivers comprehensive services within HR, HSE, BHT and document center/archive to faculties and departments with service agreements. The department is responsible for the quality of the services and the framework for the work areas, while the decision-making authority and responsibility lie in the line at the faculties and departments with service agreements.
HR has service agreements with Faculty of Law, Faculty of Fine Art, Music and Design and the University Library.
