Accesses at UiB

The employee card severe ID on campus, as access card  to many of the buildings at UiB, and as a library card at the university library. The card is issued to you at the Card Centre, located at the Student Centre. 

For your visit at the card centre, bring with you: 

• Registration form with your name and the accesses you need. This form is given to you by the administration at your institute. 
• ID card with photo

You will find information regarding your employment, your salary slips, registration for vacation, registration of travelling cost and more. 

You can also change some of the information here yourself - like address and next of kin. Link to more information and log in here. 

New employees and guest researchers  must apply for a user account in order to gain access to the University's IT resources in SEBRA.  You can use the guest network until you have your own log in. Information about UiB User account.

NB! Remember to save the registration code and the registration PIN. When your application is approved you will gain access to e-mail, the University network, the intranet and common areas on the internet at your place of employment.

UiB is the eduroam network.

UiB is using Teams for phone service.

Each unit has a member of staff who is responsible for issuing keys to new employees and guests if this is needed in addition to the access card. The administration at the department should help you if have problems with the key to your office.
