Deryn Fogg appointed honorary doctor at UiB
Professor II at the Department of Chemistry, Deryn Fogg, has been appointed honorary doctor at the University of Bergen (UiB).

Deryn Fogg is Professor and Vice-Dean at the University of Ottawa and has been affiliated with the Department of Chemistry as a Professor II since 2018. Fogg has world-leading expertise in the development of tools, insights, and processes for the sustainable production of molecules and materials. She is involved in several projects and strategic initiatives at the department, such as Integrated Catalyst Discovery for Biotechnology (ICat4Bio) and Norwegian Open Infrastructure for High-Throughput Experimentation and Scale-Up (NorHTE).

Dr. Fogg is a world-leading authority in the development of tools, insights, and processes for the sustainable production of molecules and materials that underpin today’s technologies. She also stands out as an outstanding mentor and an inspiring role model for young researchers. Furthermore, she has distinguished herself as a strong ambassador for science, including in her engagement with political decision-makers. Deryn Fogg was nominated by the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences.
